Why Learning Pace Matters in the Pre-school Years
Early childhood is the period of the fastest and most consequential brain development a person will ever experience. Neural pathways form and consolidate at a rate that will never be matched again, which means the quality and fit of learning experiences between 18 months and six years has an outsized influence on a child’s later confidence, language acquisition, and problem-solving ability. When learning moves too fast, children disengage or develop anxiety around certain subjects.
